Joining AILERONS

Published:

AILERONS is a non-profit scientific association (governed by French law of 1901) founded in May 2006 in Montpellier (Hérault, France). The association carries out its projects through the collective action of volunteer scientists, students, and contributors from all backgrounds, with the support of sea users such as fishermen, managers, and local organizations. Its primary objectives are the study and conservation of sharks and rays in the Mediterranean.

My first contribution to the association’s mission was during the Festival Va Savoir(Montpellier, October 25). During this event, we hosted a stand where we shared interesting facts about sharks and rays, engaged with the public, and discussed actions to help protect these endangered species.

As another initiative, I joined the association for a beach cleanup and a survey of alien species along the coast of Montpellier.

I look forward to contributing more to AILERONS’ missions!
